STORY: PART II

-         ¿qué has dicho? Dijo Clara
-         Yo no he dicho nada,  replicó el niño.
-         Has dicho algo de una furgoneta.
-         ¿Yo? Yo no he dicho nada.

Y si tú no quieres, iré sola.
Pablo no dijo nada.

¿Te has dado cuenta?  - susurró Clara.
- ¿de qué?
- Calla y escucha.
-         Pues no oigo nada.

-  ¡Exacto! ¡Y tampoco se les ve!  ¿qué habrá pasado con los animales?

Chinchilla suddenly started to run. She shouted again : ¡No , other time no, please, come here!
The chinchilla stopped at the garden next to another chinchilla.
“ That`s a relief!  He has stopped! “ They thought
-         Are you sure it is your house? , asked the boy.
-          Well ... the truth ... yes,  it is my home but ... these are  not our furniture. It seems another house .- Clara replied, a bit confused.

 They went  in a van.
-         What did you say? Clara said
-          I did not say anything, "replied the boy.
-          You said something about a van.
-          I did not say anything. I am as sure as my name is Paul.
-         Paul….Paul said Clara  in silent while she looked hard the blue eyes of his friend.  He also looks her. ("Nice name for a boy so handsome," thought in silence).

Hey, you! Stop  glances, I'm  down here and you are going to tread on me.

When they looked at the floor, only saw the chinchilla  observed them  with open arms.

They have gotten into a van that put letters: ZOO. with some men dressed in white. Everyone, including the grandmother.

-         But how is it possible? Chinchillas do not talk. Is  it all a dream?

No dream, sure. Of course we speak. What happens is that  humans never listen to the animals. You are too busy with your things and not pay attention to nature. My friend has seen all that has happened.

- We should call the police, "interrupted Paul.

-         No way, "cried Clara. Call the police? And tell them that my family has disappeared and  my home is not my home? Tell them that  my chinchilla can speak? Nobody would believe us. They will think we're crazy.  I will go to the zoo. And if you do not want, I'll go alone.
-          O.K. but it will can  be dangerous. You know that?
-          May be ... but we will be together and help each other.  They looked into each other`s eyes.

Eh!!! You have forgotten of me again. - Said the chinchilla,  while jumped  into the arms of Clara.

Children and their pet walking  to the zoo. It was far away, on the outside of the city. They walked a long time. When they arrived to  Central Park Clara suddenly stopped.
-         Have you noticed?
-          What? Quiet and listen.
-         Well, I hear nothing.
-          I said, listen not to hear. Do not you know that is not the same thing?

They closed their eyes and  stayed in silent. There was no sound. No birds singing, or stray cats living in the park, no dogs barking at the moon

-         How strange! You do not hear any animal.
-         Exactly!!  And we havent either seen any animal! I wonder what happened to the animals?
