Today the school year ends. We're on  SUMMER HOLIDAYS! This year has been fun, we've learned so much and we had a genius. Now  we are  a little sad because we're going to separate to go next year to the Institute. We have spent many years together, is 8 or 9?. Also we have to say goodbye to our Polish friends. We want to send a big hug and wish you all a happy holiday. We really enjoyed working with you has been fun and we love it! Meet other children of our age. The language or distance do not matter, it is as if we were in the same class, that's what internet !!!!! We hope next year we can continue talking and doing things for us even though we go to the Institute will continue to use blogs and our page Lenguaweb. So there we shall see. Thanks for everything and HAPPY SUMMER !!!!! ¡¡¡¡¡

Gracias a mis amigos conseguimos rescatarles:

 FIN

-         Eh! - shouted Paul. The animals are cute. Every day we eat and drink milk, eggs, meat, fish, butter, ... my bed pillows have feathers in and we use some animals  to make shoes, bags and coats also  animals  can be our best friends.
-         Well,  I think that killing animals to make shoes or coats  are a murder.
-          what brutes! Coats and shoes can be maked with other things and so would not kill seals, tigers or mink. Did you know that some of these animals are extinct?
-          True, "said Paul - a bit embarrassed. I  do not know what else ...... We have three reasons: they give us food,  they are goog friends and they are beautiful.
-         Stop!  At school we are taught that some animals help humans in many ways: there are police dogs, dogs for the blind, hawks that prevent birds colliding with aircraft, racing pigeons, animals that "cleanse" the air as bats or spiders that eat insects, even the earthworms that produce fertilizer.
-         What a clever are you  Clara!
-          I know I'm clever , Paul. Jajajajajajja!

They went to see her chinchilla and told  the 5 reasons.
-         Congratulations, "said the chinchilla.
You have notice  how useful  are  animals. From prehistory  we have always been together but every time you treat us worse. Many animals are disappearing because they hunt and kill for money (lions, whales, tigers, elephants, seals ...); other animals suffer mistreatment (in holiday villages, where the chase, scare them and throw things like rocks or spears), and others are abandoned when they grow up like dogs or cats.
Your  reasons are good, so we  will fulfill your desires.
Suddenly all the cages were filled. Began to hear birds singing and dogs barking. Everything was back to normal..
-         But ... what happens with our  family.
-         Be quiet ,   said the chinchilla. Your family is fine. They were kidnapped by thieves who took them away in a van. Thanks to my friends managed to salvage: I informed my friend stork to follow the van to his hideout. The bullet made a hole in the ground was soft due to the worms.  The owl watched from a tree inside the house. The woodpecker was a hole in the wood where they could leave and return over a fast horse. The thieves were arrested by police. Our friends watched wolves and lions and dared not move.

They come back home and  they met there together again,  Everybody , humans and animals, were happy.
Don´t forget it:  WE CAN BE FRIENDS.

                               THE END

MUCHO CUENTO!!!!! (OUR STORY III)

It was very scary! So silent that it was impossible to go trough it. They looked around all they saw were empty cages..They started to breath very fast . After those events  they were so exhausted that they fall asleep.
Clara had a very strange dream. It seede like it was real. She run across the meadow full of butterflys and flowers. In the distance she saw some animals. Her chinchilla came to her and said
“You see – animals are alive and they can feel to – so listen to us somethimes. Just  stop and listen let us feel! And remember  we can be very helpful too – to help you get your life back you will get three wishes. It takes one full day to make your wish come true and it will become true if you will make your job I will  give you. So think  carefully and when you wake up  tell    me what  is your wish.  And now sleep  tight  Clara”
Clara waked up suddenly - “ What  a strange  dream she thought” And then suddenly  chinchilla came out of the grass and asked her “WHAT IS YOUR  FIRST WISH?”
'”It wasn;t a dream – it's true....””I don/t know she said – it's so difficult. There are so many things I wish. There aren't my family or animals it is so quiet and it all on my  head. What to choose first.
“She spoke to Poul and they decided to bring all animals back.”Ok  to do this you have to give me 5  reasons why you need  them back.  To make  that   list  you have 5  hours.”
Ok  they  thought  – we can do  this  .  Sounds easy but   first   lets eat  something – but  where   and   ho   there   is   nothing   and   noeone   on   the   earth   –   just   us.How stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!5   good   reasons.....   they   were   thinking   and   thinking   ,   and thinking...............and they couldn't come up with good reasons.;-(She thought that  they are beautiful – but it isn't good enough reason . Time was running faster and  faster and faster and they didnt have even one reason. Clara was so exhausted that she couldn't even think...

-         ¿qué has dicho? Dijo Clara
-         Yo no he dicho nada,  replicó el niño.
-         Has dicho algo de una furgoneta.
-         ¿Yo? Yo no he dicho nada.

Y si tú no quieres, iré sola.
Pablo no dijo nada.

¿Te has dado cuenta?  - susurró Clara.
- ¿de qué?
- Calla y escucha.
-         Pues no oigo nada.

-  ¡Exacto! ¡Y tampoco se les ve!  ¿qué habrá pasado con los animales?

Chinchilla suddenly started to run. She shouted again : ¡No , other time no, please, come here!
The chinchilla stopped at the garden next to another chinchilla.
“ That`s a relief!  He has stopped! “ They thought
-         Are you sure it is your house? , asked the boy.
-          Well ... the truth ... yes,  it is my home but ... these are  not our furniture. It seems another house .- Clara replied, a bit confused.

 They went  in a van.
-         What did you say? Clara said
-          I did not say anything, "replied the boy.
-          You said something about a van.
-          I did not say anything. I am as sure as my name is Paul.
-         Paul….Paul said Clara  in silent while she looked hard the blue eyes of his friend.  He also looks her. ("Nice name for a boy so handsome," thought in silence).

Hey, you! Stop  glances, I'm  down here and you are going to tread on me.

When they looked at the floor, only saw the chinchilla  observed them  with open arms.

They have gotten into a van that put letters: ZOO. with some men dressed in white. Everyone, including the grandmother.

-         But how is it possible? Chinchillas do not talk. Is  it all a dream?

No dream, sure. Of course we speak. What happens is that  humans never listen to the animals. You are too busy with your things and not pay attention to nature. My friend has seen all that has happened.

- We should call the police, "interrupted Paul.

-         No way, "cried Clara. Call the police? And tell them that my family has disappeared and  my home is not my home? Tell them that  my chinchilla can speak? Nobody would believe us. They will think we're crazy.  I will go to the zoo. And if you do not want, I'll go alone.
-          O.K. but it will can  be dangerous. You know that?
-          May be ... but we will be together and help each other.  They looked into each other`s eyes.

Eh!!! You have forgotten of me again. - Said the chinchilla,  while jumped  into the arms of Clara.

Children and their pet walking  to the zoo. It was far away, on the outside of the city. They walked a long time. When they arrived to  Central Park Clara suddenly stopped.
-         Have you noticed?
-          What? Quiet and listen.
-         Well, I hear nothing.
-          I said, listen not to hear. Do not you know that is not the same thing?

They closed their eyes and  stayed in silent. There was no sound. No birds singing, or stray cats living in the park, no dogs barking at the moon

-         How strange! You do not hear any animal.
-         Exactly!!  And we havent either seen any animal! I wonder what happened to the animals?

PREMIO DE CALIDAD NACIONAL y EUROPEO

For this reason, there are two labels: the National Quality Label and the European Quality LabelThe Quality Label is concrete recognition to teachers and schools of the high level of their eTwinning activities. For pupils, this offers a boost to their work efforts, and for the school in general, a public affirmation of their commitment to quality and openness in European collaborative work. WALKING TOGETHER: WRITING STORY

One day Clara went for a walk with her chinchilla. She went across Central Park thinking about her friends. Suddenly she 's seen one boy walking across the path. She thought he must be nice.
"Maybe I should introduce myself” she thought.
So slowly she came to him and said:
-"Hi. I'm Clara. Shall we be friends?”
But he didn't answer.
He just looked. But suddenly her chichla run away so she shouted .
"Please help me!!!!!!!!!!” . They run very fast , jumped across some bins, then around some swings and bumped into the pet just before the lake.
-"Thank you very much. I wouldn't catch her without you! Let's be friend!!” she said.  They shaked hands and he said he is going to walk her home.
When they arrived at her place she knocked on the door. No one answered. That was very strange. There was always someone at home. The door was opened so they slowly came in. They were quite frightened. The house was quiet, there was no one at home, not even granny who never left home.
"Something is wrong” She said.  ”It looks as we never lived in here!!!!It doesn't look like our house she!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

"Hola, me llamo Clara.

MORE ABOUT SPANISH RECIPES

Hi again, friends.
Here you are a new recipe of one of the most popular dishes in Spain.  CHURROS with CHOCOLAT

 Churro Dough
   • 1 cup of water     • 1/2 cup margarine or butter
  • 1/4 teapoon salt         • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs           • 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sugar      • Vegetable or Olive Oil

Chocolate
  • 120g of dark chocolate, chopped            • 2 cups of milk
  • 4 teaspoons of cornstarch (cornflour)

Preperation

Prepare to fry the churros by heating oil in a pan (1 to 1 & 1/2 inches) to 360 degrees F. To make churro dough, heat water, margarine and salt to rolling boil in 3-quart saucepan; stir in flour. Stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball, about 1 minute; remove from heat. Beat eggs all at once; continue beating until smooth and then add to saucepan while stirring mixture. Spoon mixture into cake decorators' tube with large star tip (like the kind used to decorate cakes). Squeeze 4-inch strips of dough into hot oil. Fry 3 or 4 strips at a time until golden brown, turning once, about 2 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels.

Mix Sugar and the optional cinnamon; roll churros in sugar or dump the sugar on the pile of churros, like the pros. That churro taste will take you right back to your favorite summer days walking the paseos of Spain.

Note: real churros in Spain are made without cinnamon mixed with the sugar, but the cinnamon adds an extra nice flavor.

Chocolate Dip

Place the chocolate and half the milk in a pan and heat, stirring, until the chocolate has melted. Dissolve the cornstarch in the remaining milk and whisk into the chocolate with the sugar. Cook on low heat, whisking constantly, until the chocolate is thickened, about five minutes. Add extra cornstarch if it doesn't start to thicken after 5 minutes. Remove and whisk smooth. Pour and server in cups or bowls for dunking churros. Do not pour over churros, but use the mix for dunking churros after every bite. Served warm.

We have found a video about how to make churros. It´s in spanish but I think you could undertand it very well, its very easy.

SPANISH FOOD

HI FRIENDS.
Our teacher told us you need  Spanish recipes.  Here  we send you some of them:

TORTILLA DE PATATAS -  POTATO  OMELETE

The tortilla is a way of life in Spain (and worth it!) Well-loved dish  served all over Spain.

For 4 to 6 persons: 1 cup olive oil, four large potatos (peel and cut in circles about 2mm thick; salt to taste;one large onion, thinly sliced; four large eggs.

Some people add thin slices of red pepper together with the onion.
Heat the oil in a 9-inch skillet, add potatos, one slice at a time so that they don't stick. Alternate layers of potato and onion. COOK slowly, mediumflame. DO NOT FRY!! Turn ocasionally until potatoes are tender, but NOTbrown. They must be loose, not "in a cake". Beat eggs in a large bowl with a fork. Salt to taste. Drain potatoes. Add potatoes to beaten eggs, pressing them so that eggs cover them completely. Let sit for 15 minutes.

Heat 2 tbsps of the oil in large skillet. Add potates-egg mixture, spreading quickly.Lower the heat to medium-high.Shake pan to prevet sticking (crucial step!!) When potatoes start to brown, put a plate on skillet and turn around, adding another tbsp of oil. Brown on the other side. Can flip three or four times for better cooking.

GAZPACHO:  Typical (and my favourite)  dish in summer (for drink or eat)

It is difficult for us to give you definite weights or quantities for this recipe; please forgive us.
Lots of red, ripe tomatoes Cucumber (with the part that attaches it to the plant removed: it is bitter) Anaheim peppers (or any green pepper which is not sweet)Old, hard bread (my favourite for gazpacho is extra sour dough, but others will do too) .  Garlic,  red vinegar, olive oil, salt, water.

There might be as many recipes of gazpacho as families are in Spain.

As a rule, you want more tomatoes in the gazpacho than anything else. A nice looking gazpacho should have a pretty orange-red colour. Therefore, add the ingredients according to this principle. First, cut the vegetables in pieces that your blender can manage. You do not need to peel the cucumber or the tomatoes or remove the seeds from anything (at least i never do).  Cut some bread and soak it in water. Add it to the blender. Add the olive oil, salt, vinegar and water.

Turn the power on until everything blends "homogeneously". Take a spoonful and taste it. At this point you can decide what is missing, what is in excess, etc. You can experiment with the recipe: some people like the gazpacho very thick, so they add a lot of bread, while some others like it very liquidy, and they add more water instead, or less bread, whatever.

My family prefer gazpacho at room temperature. However, as it is a typical summer dish, it is usually served cold. In some places this is so true that they even throw ice cubes in it when ready to eat.

FRENCH TOAST  (TORRIJAS )

French toast is a breakfast food served an Easter dessert in Spain. We called it “Torrijas”. Typical toast is made with bread and eggs. Milk or sugar is commonly added. According to what is popular in local cuisine, many of the spices that are added to bread or egg dishes are included in cooking. This versatile dish is often topped with sugar, butter, fruit, syrup, or other items.

Slices of bread are dipped in a beaten egg and sugar mixture. The slices of egg-coated bread are then placed on a frying pan or griddle prepared with a coat of butter or oil, and cooked until both sides are browned and the egg has cooked through.

WE HOPE YOU LIKE IT.  THIS WEEK WE WILL SEND YOU SOME MORE.  BYE. BYE, SEE YOU SOON FRIENDS !!!

EASTER HOLIDAYS

Gracias a nuestros amigos polacos. ¡ Nos ha gustado muchísimo!
